Meet Carrie and Penny Your Podcast Hosts
—

Carrie
Carrie is a licensed clinical social worker who spent over 17 years working in a long-term hospital before making the bold career move to become a stay-at-home mom—which, as it turns out, may actually involve more emotional management.
She has two kids: a daughter who is currently a freshman in college and a son in 7th grade, so she gets to experience both empty-nest-ish feelings and middle-school chaos at the same time. She’s been married to Phillip for over 24 years, proving that love, patience, and selective hearing really can stand the test of time.
Carrie is an avid reader, and if she has a free moment, there’s a good chance she has a book in her hand. She has also recently committed to exercising regularly, mostly against her will and occasionally under protest.

Penny
Penny is a registered dietitian who has worked in management at the same medical organization for over 15 years, which means she has spent a very long time professionally telling people what they should eat while presumably being surrounded by people who ignore that advice.
She has four kids: a daughter who is a freshman in college, a daughter who is a senior in high school, a son who is a sophomore in high school, and a son in 4th grade. She’s been married to Jamie for over 21 years, proving that true love, teamwork, and the occasional strategic decision to just let the other person be right can go a long way.
Penny is an avid runner and exerciser, which is impressive considering she already has four kids and apparently enjoys adding unnecessary cardio to her life. She’s also started reading more regularly, thanks largely to some relentless peer pressure from her sister-in-law. When she’s not running, exercising, or being bullied into reading, she can usually be found lounging by the pool—where she is finally doing what she does best: absolutely nothing.
